🌲Spectacular trip to Arataki Regional Park, Waitakere New Zealand 🏞️

🌲  Our spectacular school trip to Arataki Regional Park ! 🏞️

We had a super fun day at Arataki Regional Park, it all started when we hopped onto the Bendy Bus we sorted ourselves out on where to sit. Room 6 and 7 came with us. Before the day we pick ourselves buddies for the trip and my buddy was Alodia. It was a 1 hour and 40 minutes drive. about 30 minutes later the view outside was mountains and forests along with that I even saw a dead possum lying in the middle of the road.

We finally arrived, We got of, sat down and what a coincidence we saw Miss Best again she was our old Garden to Table teacher. We then had a quick morning tea and then we got time to explore the New Zealand native forest. Before exploring time we have to spray our shoes to keep our shoes from the Kauri tree dieback. We started the nature trail and we found various things in there Frozen mud, various types of mushrooms, Different size spider webs, Ferns, native birds, tree trunk shaped like flower and much more.

It was a fun time exploring, we then came back and had lunch. After lunch we went with another park ranger her name is Stacy. She took us into the " Do not enter " Area we went in and guess what we had to do... we had to use a pooter to suck up invertebrates and we also had a hunter, a hunter find the bugs and the sucker suck the bugs up.

Our last activity was we went into a room and learnt about leaves and how it is important to our planet, then we played a life cycle of a tree game that game also tells us why bugs keep our plants and trees alive. That is the end of our trip it is a very long but fun day. :)
