Imagine a place with sparkling oceans and soft warm sand, pleasant parks, elegant scenery, native forest, glistening lakes, cheerful towns, cities and exquisite restaurants. Well it's all here in New Zealand. New Zealand is filled with amazing places with lots of things to do. New Zealand's tallest building is the " Sky Tower " . Did you know that the Sky Tower is the 25th tallest tower in the world!  New Zealand is known to it's Native forests and animals. All the beaches and oceans in New Zealand is delightful, think about sailing along in the cool summer breeze. A lot of people swim in the cool waves and relax in the hot, soft sand! 
NZ is amazing !

Logging

I think NZ should not allow logging because ;

• It will kill the beautiful environment
• It will kill the homes for some animals 

I think NZ should allow logging because ;

• They can use wood and build new homes
•  It can produce more money for NZ 

 

💎 My Hotel - Crystal / marble hotel :-) - SLJ 💎

This is my hotel for one of the SLJ activties. This will be built in Antarctica and at the top of the hotel will be a cozy room for the animals that live in Antarctica! This is a Crystal and Marble hotel that is why the floor is made out of crystal!
 

🍣 My Favourite food and how to make it 🍱 - SLJ -

My favourite food  is " Sushi "  it's pretty easy to make
This is how you make sushi :
You need :
Bamboo mat
Sushi rice
Seaweed
Meat or seafood
Veges - eg. Lettuce / Cucumber
Soy Sauce - dipping sauce
 What to do :
Prepare the rice ( cook the rice )
Place the Bamboo mat on a flat surface
Layer it with seaweed
Spread rice on top of seaweed
Put chunks of meat or seafood of your choice
Put  veges on top and roll the sushi carefully
Then cut into fine pieces 
Served with soy sauce
Pretty Easy ! Maybe you can try make it and add a few little toppings or bits to it :-)








Sushi is one of the very popular and traditional Dish in Japan. It is not hard to make :-)
It is usually served with sugar, salt or soy sauce! combined with a variety of ingredients such as : seafood, meat, vegetables, Avocado, cream cheese and occasionally tropical fruits. The dish's main ingredient is the vinegared rice ( sushi rice ). sushi can be served individually, in a platter or in a " BENTO BOX " 🍱. A " BENTO BOX " is  a box with at least 4 spaces, in each space will be a small dish - eg. 1st space = sushi, 2nd space = rice, 3rd space = fried vege's or shrimp -( tempura 🍤 ) and 4th space = fresh vegetables.

If you have never tried " Sushi "  before then go and try it, it is healthy and delicious 😋😋😋

WWF _ SLJ - 🐅

 WWF - World Wildlife Fund 

The first animal - ( clip 1 ) - the WWF is working to save are " FRESH WATER SEALS " . They WWF spent days working on  the lake building a snowbank for these endangered seals.  The seals give birth in a lair and it digs into a snowbank. The reason they are building a snowbank is because if there are no snowbanks then the pups are born on open ice.

MY Fantastic beast I created is called a  Kittycorn     
It is a cat but no ordinary cat it has a magical horn and protective wings as soft and clouds. Its got sparkly eyes and patterns on it's body. It shoot's incredible power out of it's Rainbow Horn.

• 3 great things about being a DOC ranger :
• They help make NZ a beutiful place for animals 🇳🇿
• They help protect animals and the wildlife for a better environment
•  🌱 They also help protect and keep plants and trees  ( natives ) alive much longer ! 🌴                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    3 bad things about being a DOC ranger :
• They need to aware of species of plants that could be dangerous !
•  Watch for nature diseases 😷
• thy could get sting or bitten by dangerous insects 

🌵 Day 2- Activity 3 - SLJ - Cactus 🌵

 🌱NZ is one of the many countries that is filled with natives, plants and trees. 🍃

 🇳🇿In New Zealand we have a few cactuses. I have 4-6 pots of cactuses. 🇳🇿

🏜️ The African Desert is home to many beutiful cacti. Some cacti can survive with only 3ml of water a day ! 🏜️

Math Question : Let’s imagine that you are given a cactus for your birthday. To keep it alive, you must give it 3 ml of water every day.

 🌵Over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cactus plant? 

1 year = 365 days 

the cacti needs 3ml a day 

3 x 365 or 365 x 3 

1 full year = 1095ml

I like the white fern's ( new ) uniform. I like the colours and the fern design ! 

🌲 Tane Mahuta - SLJ- 🌳

I would like to go and see the biggest Kauri tree in New Zealand. it is located in Waipoua Forest. Most people call it Tane Mahuta or " Lord of the Forest " . I liked to go visit the Tane Mahuta because I wanted to see how large it actually is, what it looks like in real life ! and since it is also the only Tane Mahuta in New Zealand !

My Hometown 

I live in Auckland, ( NZ). Auckland is a very busy city it is the biggest city also. Auckland is filled with lots of beautiful things such as theaters, art gallerys, stadiums, Museums, Parks, Creeks, Rivers, lakes, Beaches, waterfalls, zoos, National Parks, Shops, Buildings, sights, cafes, Restaurants, desserts and much much more to visit.  I like visiting the Kelly Tarltons in Mission Bay. Auckland is an amazing city to live in, and it is my hometown !

Goodbye 2018 💕

Hi everyone, this is my last blog post for 2018. 

💕 This year I  have enjoyed our team camp, Athletics day, Kauri's Big Splash, Rainbows End and much more especially sharing my learning with everyone ! 💕

 💕One thing that I was excited and enjoyed doing is looking after the 🥚chickens 🐤 and also the baby chicks that we hatch 🐣 🐔 and now they are going to move in with the others next year ! 💕

💕 I would like to thank Miss Green, Fairy Judy, Foram and all the teachers at Owairaka District School for helping me with my learning. 💕 

I enjoyed being in this school with lots of friends for 6 years and I can still remember all the memories ! :)

Today we had our brilliant ' Kauri's Big Splash '

I was in the competitive Freestyle and Backstroke girls race with Alodia - http://odsalodiake.blogspot.com/

We had many races, Bucket relay, Seal Race, Flutterboard Relay and much more. Plus a class relay with 2 girls and 2 boys along with a over and under class race.

IT WAS FUN !
